I recently purchased this domain name from a friend, I am struggling on whether to develop a css tutorial website and earn ads income or sell it at higher price?

What do you guys think the value of this domain? Any feedback or opinions will be greatly appreciated!

It's a great DN.
Overture is ~3,300
The TLD (.net) lowers it's value a little bit.

I say high $XX - low $XXX

I agree with UnXprected - .net hurts. .org would be a lot better.

I would do high $xx.

Hi UnXpected1811 and BottomUpSites,

Thanks for your reply.

I purchased it at high $xxx, when I purchased it I was thinking about develop a CSS and web design tutorial website and generate income from google ads.

Why would the .org be a better?

I thought .org worth less than .net :'(

I think the .net actually works for this.
Stylesheet is a very technical set of words,
the target audience would love the .net.

I'd say mid-high $xxx, much higher if you develop it properly.
See http://www.csszengarden.com for examples.

This is better off developed with a commercial function,
too many 'guides' around to really get you very high ad income.

You might be better off starting a stylesheet club on the lines of boxedart.

Good Luck.

Because of the price you purchased it for I would develope it make some money off of it for a year or so then sell it as a developed site so you make your money back and then some.

Thanks to mwzd and Interpixel for your replies.

I think I am going to go with you guys' suggestion, develop it first, and maybe sell it as as a developed site.

Thanks again to all of you who replied to my post, I will let you guys know when I have stylesheet.net developed!

Hey BottomUpSite, can you explain why dot org is better than dot net. I just need a clear explanation because other people also the same thing. Yet I hear that dot net is better than dot org. Which extension generates better revenue when selling it to end users? In my experience, the dot Net extensions are always regged while the dot orgs are almost always available. Anyone can also reply to my question. Thanks.

StyleSheet.net Draft

Is that the right place to talk design?

Since it is a dot net and the content is web-related, you need to make the ".NET" in the logo bigger (or just drop it)

The logo needs cleaning.

Not sure about menu items titled "Styling Text" etc.
