Personally, I think you could get a lot more from selling it than developing it. This strikes me as one of those names that will continue to appreciate over time, though, so maybe parking is the best solution for now. What's the current traffic on it?

it`s only about 100-200 uniques a month this domain was never developed or parked...i don`t want to park it, i could either sell it or pay someone to develop it, but i don`t know what solution brings more money

Unless you're a specialist in nanotechnology, definitely sell it. The only question should be when. Nanotechnology is becoming hugely popular, and many businesses would probably KILL for nanotech.com (which would also make a great business name if they were looking to rebrand).

I wouldn't be surprised if this sold well into the $xxx, xxx range a few years from now ...

don't sell it now...this will be a huge huge market in the next 10 years and then this name could be worth a ton. Right now, you're looking at around 500k. 5 years later, you can expect 5 million...this name should rise extraordinarily in value

wow it seems it undervalued it, I was expecting 5-10k max, but 5 million...you guys should be kidding me, that means i have a treasure :D

You have a gem there. don't be to quick to sell, get mutiple offers and settle for the best. good luck !

I agree, selling it now would be a substantial mistake! You're ahead of the curve with this one, once nanotechnology is more mainstream, this domain should literally explode in value.

This is a definite hold.

Don't sell. Technology is always improving.
It should be worth a lot in the future.

Domaining is about patience. You just have to find the right time to sell for certain names.

i think 500k would be a HUGE stretch. I think around 25k is more realistic.

Have been some recent articles written up on Scientific American about how recent branch of this technology might be useful in consumer electronics ( as in conducting currents via overlapping web of nets). I agree w/ sashas and & even think 5-10 years down the line it might prove to be excellent ROI.

500k is not a realistic number IMO
expect 10k-25k

Agreed, it's not achievable...at this time anyways. That's why holding is just the right thing to do.

i disagree. you can always find other people to write your content for you, and developing will only increase the value of your domain.

as everyone pointed out nanotechnology is the thing of the future (alas the very near future). when the world's attention turns to it, a good site on a great domain will be worth a fortune :$: :$: :$: :imho:

you guys do realize that this is a very high value field? The firms doing research in this field are worth billions...I put my appraisal keeping in mind the buying power of the end user, and the fact that there are just two .coms that define this industry: nanotech.com and nanotechnology.com
