I have not seen your names, but based on what you say and how you say it, I suspect the lack of response is due to low quality of the names. If you are not happy with posting the names here, feel free to PM me and I will give you my opinion about them.

It's honestly going to be tough to sell that name.

Flatmate.com is already a functioning webapp.

A lot of startups will register "get" before their name or "app" after, if they can't get a .com. getpocket.com is probably the biggest example of that.

But I don't see why someone would buy yours when they will be competing against the name without the "get".

So that's something you need to check next time before you register.

Hope that's helpful.

If you think you can find someone that wants to own or develop that exact combination of words, then they are good.

Is there enough demand for those words right now? Very limited. Maybe

Someday in the future? Again, maybe. They are all young industries.

Domains can either be in demand in the moment, and easy flips. Or they can be long term investments that will pay off in 10-20 years (or not). Both are risks. I think these would be in the long term investment category. Someday they MAY have worth. It's up to you to determine if you are willing to wait that long and continue to renew them or not.

Forget "trends"... Focus on product or service names, which are always on demand. Let me give you an example that I had given here before. Once I registered a City+GoldBuyers.com domain and sold it soon after registration.

I then proceeded to check which other cities+goldbuyers names available and found a few. I ended up selling about five or six of those. I did the same for other city keywords and so forth.

That is only one example... The possibilities for profit in the domain industry are endless.

@infosec3 is dropping great knowledge here.

Ignore those threads, for the most part. Manyof the posts in there are people just playing the domain lottery with godaddy coupons. Speculation is a risky way to build a business.

I think the best thread on namepros is this one: https://www.namepros.com/threads/report-completed-domain-name-sales-here.83628/page-286

I've probably spend over 10 hours reading parts of that thread and then researching why or how a name got sold and it has helped me tremendously.

Why was that domain still available if it's really good ? Why should it sell at a profit if nobody picked it up for $10 ? What is the pool of potential buyers like ? Here are the questions you should always ask yourself when contemplating a domain purchase.

I'm not saying it is a failure, but my suggestion would be to pick domain in niches/industries you are familiar with. I mean domain names for which you could be the end user. Sales are more the exception than the norm, so you really should be prepared to be your own end user, or ultimately let the domain drop if it can't be of any use to you.
