How hard would it be to hack in a strikethrough vbcode for the forum?

I find strikethrough would be useful once in awhile for keeping old information up (old prices, etc) while indicating it's no longer accurate.

HTML has <s> </s> can't vbcode have [ s ] [ /s ] ?

After doing a little research on this, apparently other vbulletin forums have strikethrough, so it is either disabled here or they have added some options?

vbulletin 3 (this site is on 2) has a very complete list of codes:
http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/misc.php?do=bbcode

I found these instructions buried on the vbulletin support forum:
1. go to the Admin Control Panel
2. look under Custom vB Codes
3. choose "Add".
4. make the vB code tag , the vb code replacement <span style="TEXT-DECORATION: LINE-THROUGH;">{param}</span>

Stirke though, for sure, never thought of a use for it, but on here when reducing the price of a domain or something strikethrough would be nice. :)

you can do that or make the code witht he simple html <strike>{param}</strike>

I think this feature would be useful.

Hmm, now we just need the attention of the admin.

RJ, Armstrong? Hello? Y'all out there? :)

Am here. You'll have to wait for RJ for something like this, though. I'm just another neo-type asskicker, while RJ is the keymaster+architect around here.

Good suggestion, though.

Great now someone should tell people in Domains for Sale that <strike>strikethough</strike> is available!

Or maybe it isn't available yet? :-/

'S' is for strike! Okay then! Maybe people should start using it in the "Domains for Sale" forum now!
