Strange GoDaddy Reg'd Traffic?

Over the past week (ever since icann announced the killing tasting domains) I have reg'd a few domains and parked them at parked right away. Every one of these domains (Fresh Reg's) have received exactly 2 and 3 visitors everyday with zero clicks.

My hunch/thoughts. Is it possible godaddy or "someone" is visiting these new domains to show visitors to maybe attempt to keep us from cancelling and getting a refund?

Has anyone else noticed something similar?

Thanks.

I really, really doubt GoDaddy would do something like this. Just think about it for a second. They're already the largest registrar in the world by far, and they're visiting newly registered domains there just so they might retain a very small fraction of their customers (domainers)? Have you noticed this traffic pattern with other registrars, or just GoDaddy?

No I wouldnt think they or anyone would do this either. But...... normally when I reg a fresh domain it doesnt get traffic like these have recently. I only use godaddy so as for other registrars I couldnt say.

I also find it very strange that the 2 and 3 visits a day died on day 6 of the register date.

It could also be an individual who does not like tasting messing around with some script?

More than likely its bot traffic.

Out of all the customers that GoDaddy has, I doubt that even .1% of them have ever canceled a domain reg, so I don't think this is a major concern for them. You have to remember that their marketing is aimed at the every man, not domainers.
