Stock-Photography.org

Just picked this one for a fairly good price. Any ideas?

Receives about 110,000 EXACT searches per month, registered in both .com, .net among a few other extensions.

Will most likely be an information photography/stock photography site due to the extension.

Obviously the main downside is the hyphen.

Cheers
Eric

As you have rightly pointed out hyphenated domains are not taken very seriously no matter what holders of such names claim. A name with hyphen is ok if you have some organisation or business and plan to have just a simple presence on the web. However if you wish to build an empire then there is a ceiling with hyphenated names. Having said all this, Stock-Photography.org can be developed as an informative minisite or you may allow your users to upload their snaps too. Worth low to mid $xx undeveloped imo.

This would be an okay domain if it were registered in .COM. The hyphen and the ORG kill any value or hope for development. Grace delete ASAP. IMO.

Hyphenated domains are alright for keywords in .COM, however in .ORG the keyword would need to be ridiculous to have any real value.

BTW, the .ORG itself does not kill the domain. StockPhotography.org recently sold for $1275 on SEDO with 14 total bidders.

This is a sellable name, Photographers wont freakout that its a .org and you can sell the hyphen as seo friendly. Hot Topic, I would not sell it for less than 100

Did you own StockPhotography.org Brad?
