i would agree with the appraisal about $15 k, but if it was my domain i would try to market it at about $25 k .

I would say more in the 10xxx mark unless you can find an inerested end user. Perhaps even less to a reseller.

Good name. If you can get $15k that's fantastic. IMO you might get low $xxxx for the following reasons: Ov results for "stereo store" - 516, there is a "Stereo Store" (thestereostore.com) that may take issue with the name - maybe they want it though and it may not be TM'd (didn't check); most other extensions are still available.

I agree with Phronesis - I think stereo is a fading term --- I would say $2,000-$3,000 end user value. Reseller would pay in the $400 range.

Well you just got taken then. He won't buy your domain; you just gave his appraisal company some money... I said I wanted $15,000,000 for a domain and he was okay with it.

I'd realisitically say low $xx,xxx - nice domain.

It's my personal dealings with the same scam. My partner went through it in more detail a couple months back. And in the same forum of Namepros (the scams and alerts forum) there's another thread close to mine with the same scam; I also wrote some replies in that thread.

As to your dn:
Stereo is getting to be a pretty outdated word for sound electronics; still in use enough maybe to be a decent keyword used with 'store' and get you some comfortable coin for this name, but I wouldn't confidently appraise it as high. I think it's still strong enough to sell into the low or med x,xxx with a large buyer, but my gut and my thinking it out say that higher than that is extremely optimistic.
Of course, I put extremely optimistic prices on most of my names, so I'm all for it
