Don't be spending more than 10 to 20 % of you available funds on Intuition. Save the bulk of your money for researched domains. Don't be buying second or third choice variables of anything. Buy domains that can't be beaten. Better to be top-choice in a fringe-market, than nobodies choice in an ocean of domains.

I'm new too, but one thing I keep hearing is to avoid buyers who ask you to pay for a domain appraisal — big red flag. Also, always use escrow to stay safe.
