I recently started a school forum...and I just can't get ppl there. These are classmates I see about once a week...and they wouldn't join becuz there's not enough people to begin with. So I'm thinking...how can I get ppl to join if there's not enough ppl for other's to get interested in(*confusing*)?

Any ideas?

Start by inviting your friends to post on there, perhaps invite other people from other schools to post as well? Offer incentives to get new members such as a competition where people could win free stuff but make it relevent to the forum, e.g Win a school bag, brand new pen, calculator etc....

You could start creating a range of articles with homework help and offer these for free in exchange for a link back to your website.

Google your keywords and start asking for link exchanges with other relevent websites.

Good luck with it all! :)

Thanks! Your ideas are great...

I'm looking into more "free" kind of prizes like free hosting and stuff...and I'm thinking about introducing the reputation system into IPB (its not build in).
