Hi All,

I would like to create a guide with startertips. Please let me know where you look at when you purchase, which details are the most important, how do you sell them. Also a short guide on how to pick from expired domains and which details are relevant. Do and dont's. Which extensions to buy or to skip. Anything is welcome! Thanks all for your help in advance and new domainers goodluck!

I understand. But i'm collecting the messages so it would be great if it can come in under one topic. If it bothers you, you also can scroll 5 milimeters and skip it. No hard feelings. Happy domaining!

Great resource/reference https://www.godaddy.com/garage/smallbusiness/launch/10-tips-for-choosing-the-perfect-domain-name/

Wish I would have read it when I started (or guide was written).
Especially number 5
"5. Avoid numbers and hyphens
Numbers and hyphens are often misunderstood — people who hear your website address don’t know if you’re using a numeral (5) or it’s spelled out (five) or they misplace or forget the dash. If you need these in your domain, register the different variations to be safe."

"Hopeful domainers" .......
It is not for my personal education. I'm collecting opinions and general info from business domainers like myself. I collect experiences and do and dont's from domainers. Yes i know how to Google and how to use a search function. Why you just don't share one of your experiences instead of coming with the wiseman quotes which cost you also time to write..

i did.

learn how to use the search feature

you can type any question, phrase, words, etc and get a variety of threads relating to anything you want to know:
scams, how did you start domaining, domaning tips, ppc's, parking, marketplaces, auctions, payment methods, transfers, renewal pricings, all that and more.

this way it's pure, said and stated as is, not seduced.

you, want to create a guide, but you, want others to help you.

i'm saying, help yourself first. show what you did, then come back and display "your" findings.

if you come up short, then maybe we can fill in some bliz-zanks.

imo....

No, the OP is not wanting to search for information.
He wants the information to come to him.
Just another funny thread to amuse the fans....

I base all my decisions on what I can find out from starter guides online so I would start there. Let me know when you're done with yours. It's important, in the meantime, to randomly include other people in threads like @Zandibot (sorry) for amusement so he can wonder why and you can look like you're "hooked up" and you can go to his site. As a bonus he sometimes adds some funny comments I enjoy reading that will help my mood a little :)

I would not use Google as they track your searches.

I would use a VPN and an encrypted gateway/proxy and go to DuckDuckGo (turn off redirects etc) or ixquick after bouncing off a darknet box somewhere.
