Go back to your article and add the link at the bottom.

Promote your article, add the link to your forum signatures, search for answers that are covered in your article at answers.yahoo.com and reply with a meaningfull answer so that it doesn't look like spam. Search for questions on niche forums that are well visited and post your link together with a helpfull answer. People will click a lot more on your links

Ok and here's a secret method I am using a lot lately, but don't overdo it!
Go to google.com and search for

- * site:.edu “no comments" +blogroll -"posting closed" -"you must be logged in" -"comments are closed"
The latter one will give out tons of .edu blogs where you are able to post comments.
On the other hand you can also search for shoutboxes and submit something like "Great site, keep it up" including your own URL.
Some people say it's spam and will get your article dropped by search engines, but if you don't overdo it's a great way to get backlinks. A lot of those sites you will find,using the search queries above, have a high Pagerank , so you will even get a pagerank increase sometimes.

A great way to get a lot of conversions and traffic is to have a opt-in form on your pages, building a huge newsletter network. You haven't heard about opt-in forms yet? Then it's time to find out everything about them.
