SSL Certificates

Hello there, I recently took over a site that is an E-Commerce site and the client is using Miva Merchant 5...

Aside from that, I have a small issue..

The URL is www.peaceproducts.org

Originally, the client had an Andale account that he was redirecting the peaceproducts domain to the Andale.com address..

Once I got the new site working, he swapped the rediredtion from Andale to the new host Westhost... Its now onaroll.westhost.net..

OK, now the problem, before the swap, everything worked fine in both Firefox and IE... Then after the swap, my cart no longer works in IE although it does in Firefox...

My question(s) is this...

If I buy an SSL cert instead of using the shared one from Westhost, will that solve the domain issues Im having (I think that IE is writing a cookie based on what is in the addy bar and Miva is looking for the onaroll.westhost addy, but its not there so my cart is ALWAYS empty...

So... Do I have to buy a cert or is there a workaround??

Just buy a new one.
It's pretty cheap nowadays.
NC has it ~$14.
RF ~ $9.
Thawte (Directi Reseller) has it baseprice of $24
And positive ssl's are around $15.

Thank you for the replies, I did fix the issue by changing my primary domain in the hosting and reconfiguring Miva to look at that domain.. I also had to kill the redirection and the masking that was on the peaceproducts.org domain..
