Squash URL - Please review.

Hey Guys,

Heres my latest website, http://www.squashurl.com - Basically it's a URL redirection service to help manage all those long, complex and difficult to remember URLS, Squashing them up so that they're easier to share and use. :p

Please do test it! I would appreciate all positive and negative feedback, please leave suggestions on how i can improve the site.

Any suggestions on how to promote this type of site are also greatly appreciated!

Pretty simple and nice design. It would look more appealing if you add a light background to it. Nice concept btw.

Just an idea to make your service even better - perhaps it would be better and more appealing to get rid of the ?code= part... shortened urls should be squashurl.com/

sacx13 - It's an easy way to access URLS, although you would be required to remember the code (eg. 123). I'll take a look at the background.

I agree with CreedFeed about the squashurl.com/

 thing. That would be better imo. 

As for the design, it's simple yes, but I like it. However, the banner could do with livening up a bit

On the redirect page - "responcible"

It all seems a bit cluttered when it could be so simple. Not sure why they have to see/verify the website they wish to go to on your site first.

It all could be so simple, faster and easier. [http://www.yiuu.com - Yes it is one of mine, but check out how easy it is to grab a short URL and use it, and obvious and simple it is.]

Xombie, on my site i included lots of information on how it works which is why it's a bit "cluttered"

Also, the redirection page, thats another chance to display adsense ads, i was considering removing it, but it could be usefull for some users. It's a chance to check where you're being redirected to. However, i think i'll probably remove that.

Design is okay, i like easy eatable ones
