Hey, I have received many reviews on SQL Dumpster (for which I am grateful) and each one usually includes "new/interesting/great concept".
The idea is that web developers are given access to various database dumps which they can use for their websites. Please google-define or search wikipedia for 'database/sql dump' if you are unsure of what they are.
Though I only have 22 database dumps, I feel I really want to make a go of things. I really don't want to give access to just anybody so I've introduced "License keys" which must be given by me.
I am just wondering whether there is a way to patent this idea in some way or if there is another way to stop people from redistributing these databases. Or perhaps, should I sell redisribution licenses to allow people to redistibute the database dumps?
Just out of interest: would anybody be interested in a (lifetime) License Key? How much would you expect to pay (NP$ and other currency)?
Many thanks,
