Oh, great! what makes a difference between what visitors and search engine sees a site?
Good Question!!!!!
The spider "grades" your work from the inside and reports to
Google the findings, and this is how you rise or fall in the S.E.
rankings.
Think of it like this, the SE spider is like a sight impaired person,
and it cant see all the pretty images, backgrounds, cool fonts
and trick additions, but like the sightless read braille the spider
reads the the source and "sees" everything, even what we cant.
Any mistakes in HTML code, the KW weight in the text, the links
in and out, everything that defines a well built, content rich site.
Also, the spider doesnt read left to right, or right to left, so how
you write your markup can determine which is read first, your
content or something else less compatable to SEO like your nav
or even ads or pix. It's all about first "impression" with spiders.
Enter your URL in the tool Nick is sharing and you will see what
the spiders sees. It is nothing like what you would imagine if
you are new to that part of design and optimization.
Hope this helped.
Peace,
