Hi,
Lately ive been trying to speed up my sites loading time, its using the phpnuke cms as you may of noticed on most phpnuke sites they have alot of images etc.. which means it takes a while to load.

My site is http://www.scribbytech.net

Ive finaly got around to validating it with w3.org after fixing over 400+ errors reported im now trying to speed up overall loading time so if you have any ideas please tell me :)

When I glanced at the source code all I could see was "<table>, <tr>, <td>" etc. In other words tables take up a LOT of the code and therefore loading time. There's so many unnecessary code it's not funny, if you outlined every table and table cell you could see where all the wasted code is going.

I took a couple of screenshots of your site with all the tables and table cells outlined in green, red and blue.

Also notice the green smudges everywhere, these indicate tables that can be easily converted to Divs and other block level elements. Divs require about a third of the code a table needs, and they're much easier to manage.

Good luck. ;)

Ive allready looked at the site like that, I have the same addon as you do :)

I found http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ very useful, I have cut down alot of the stuff on my site but there are still a few tables and things that are not needed as you said and I will remove them slowly.
