Hello, hope you are doing well.

I have a domain in spaceship and want to sell it in drop catch. Do I just need to transfer it to drop catch with DNS?
I also heard that I can't transfer it. I only have to buy it from name bright and list it in drop catch ?

Can someone tells me how to do it, if this possible. thank you

Changing DNS will not transfer the domain from Spaceship to DropCatch or NameBright. DNS only changes where the domain points.

Drop catching is for domains that expire and are released. That is different from listing a domain you already own for sale.

Before transferring anything, ask DropCatch support whether a domain registered at Spaceship is eligible for its seller marketplace and whether it must first be moved to NameBright. Their eligibility and transfer rules can change. Do not let the domain expire just to try to sell it.

Are you trying to list the domain while keeping it registered, or are you asking about a domain that is already expiring?

Anyone can submit a domain to a "Private Seller" auction with DropCatch but the domain's registrar must be NameBright. If you have a domain with Spaceship that you wish to auction off with DropCatch, you must first transfer the domain to NameBright and then you are able to list it for auction. See point 3 in the requirements list:

  1. DurationDays can only be one of the following values: 3, 7, 14
    1. If the duration you choose ends on a weekend, we will move the end date to the following Monday
  2. StartPrice can only be within the valid ranges for the Domain's TLD
    1. Maximum amount of $59
    2. The Minimum for the following TLDs is$15: .COM, .NET, .ORG, .CC
    3. The Minimum for the following TLDs is $25: .TV
  3. Domains must be in the same NameBright account you use to login to DropCatch to be eligible for sale in the Marketplace.

Keep in mind that very few Private Seller auctions attract bids and so if you are moving a domain to NameBright to auction it off, you may end up losing even more money because you will need to pay the transfer fee and receive $0 at auction. If your domain is one of the few that will attract bids (e.g: a 4L.com) then you can be more confident in moving it, but otherwise, it is likely better to auction off the domain via a free platform, like NamePros or Atom or list with a fixed price marketplace like NotRenewing.com.
