Hey everyone, I auctioned off a lot of mobi domains last month on Sedo, unfortunately two winning bidders didn't make payment on time, so offering South Korea and Serbia mobi as a "quick sale" exclusively on NamePros before putting them up for auction again. These are the last two mobi country names available!!!

Anyone interested PM me your offer. Thanks.

P.S. I don't want this to sound as a sales speech, but one can make _serious_ bank with those domains!!! Just gotta develop them and turn them into mobile portals for those countries:

Easy getting traffic for them:
overture 42180 searches for "south korea"
overture 33809 searches for "serbia"

Now imagine when Google, MSN, and Yahoo will start doing the smart and logical thing and showing mobi versions first in search results when someone searches from their mobile device? Can you imagine the free and highly targeted traffic these domains will get?

Here are the searches once more, and they're from Overture, Google probably gets 100 times more queries for these terms:
overture 42180 searches for "south korea"
overture 33809 searches for "serbia"

Imagine the tourists waiting for their plane, checking SouthKorea.mobi or Serbia.mobi in airports on their mobile devices when flying there to see local hotels, or for a local map or restaurants when already in South Korea or Serbia.

You can use AdSense for ads, or make deals with local companies, what else would be easier to sell advertising to a South Korean or Serbian hotel than SouthKorea.mobi or Serbia.mobi - just tell them, everyone on their mobile will check it.

Just gotta buy it, develop it, SEO it, and get advertisers, all will take about 7 days and whatever you pay for them, you're gonna be earning back in a month, every month!!!

So if you're into developing mobi's, these can be your #1 moneymakers.

Global Travel and Tourism is a $6 TRILLION DOLLAR a year industry.
Serbia got over 10 MILLION foreign tourists last year! $$$
South Korea got over 6 MILLION foreign tourists last year! $$$
90% of South Korean population of 50 million people is using mobile devices to browse web and check their e-mail! $$$

Nice names!

I did actually bid on both of those names, why did Sedo not offer them down the line of bidders - is that not normal procedure?

Can you share with us where did you get that info? If it is correct, I`ll immediately change my job ;) Serbia has less than 10 mil. citizens and that number of tourists is very unrealistic.

Anyway, you got very good mobi names. Good luck! :)

Hey ajkula, thanks. Couldn't find the 10 million tourists a year source for Serbia again atm, I'll keep searching and will post below if I find it again (but neighbouring Croatia with even two times smaller population gets 6-10 million tourists per year, source: http://www.fas.usda.gov/gainfiles/200611/146249611.pdf), until then, some numbers and future plans about Serbia:

In 2005: "Serbia recorded tourism turnover of about US$756 million (600 million euros) and earned more than US$300 million in proceeds, Trade, Tourism and Services Minister Bojan Dimitrijevic recently disclosed. This is enough for the Serbian government for taking aim at a bigger piece of the worldโ€™s traveling public."

"Serbia is concentrating its efforts becoming a new tourist destination with a master plan for the period through 2015. Fifty million euro are to be invested into developing river infrastructure, in particular through the international Integrated Borderline Management project. Serbia currently has over 222 hotels, including many new four and five-star establishments. Guest numbers have increased no less than 174%, from 165,398 in 2000 to 452,679 in 2005. The National Tourist Organization of Serbia produces a steady stream of informational material to help promote the country as a tourist destination.
This past October, Serbia also joined the European Travel Commission (ETC) that currently joins together the national tourist organisations of thirty-seven European countries. Information: National Tourism Organization of Serbia Belgrade, www.serbia-tourism.org"

"A million tourists expected in Montenegro thanks to James Bond

If it is to judge by the prognosis of the tourist employees the year 2007 will be a real tourist boom for Montenegro, and it is expected that the dream of the tourist employees will come true, that is, that the visit will surpass the โ€œmagical millionโ€ of guests. In the Ministry of tourism they are estimating that this year 1, 1 million of tourists will come, which is more than 10% than it was the case last year - reports Visit Montenegro.

According to the circumstances, led by the adventures of the actual James Bond, Montenegro this summer will be the most intriguing, undiscovered destination. According to the words of the of the PR of the Ministry of tourism Jelena Paovic it is estimated that in the year 2007 Montenegro will be visited by a half a million of foreign guests, which is for ยผ more than in the last year, and they will have about 3 millions of overnight stays.

The main goal of the development of tourism in the year 2007 is sustainable and diverse tourist product which enables the growth of the number of tourists, expenditure per day and per guest, and opening of the new working places during the season. They are planning the income of about 350 millions of euros, which is about 17% more than last year. For comparison, total income from the tourism in the year 2006 was 322, 3 millions of euros, which is 23, 5% more than the year before. This year, also, we are expecting the increase of the number of employees in tourism on about 15.000 which is the increase of 7% compared to the previous year โ€“ said Paovic.

They are expecting the arrival of about 600.000 domestic guests in which we still include tourists from Vojvodina, Serbia, and Kosovo, which is on the level of the previous year. Namely, according to the official statistics Montenegro during the year 2006 was visited by 952.000 guests......."

Hej Domain999, Croatia has sea with many islands and beautiful long seaside (5.835 km). That is main reason for so many tourists there. Montenegro has sea also. Serbia doesn`t have sea. As I can see, you are from Europe...you have to know that.

Yes, Serbia make great efforts to become new tourist destination (Serbian gouvernement spent half million dollars with tax money collected from their citizens for ugly promo video clip showed on CNN last year)...but I wouldn`t bet on it ;)

In any case, you are all welcome to visit Serbia :)

hey, greetings to Serbia... I've was looking for the Serbia stats, can't find anything for whole year of 2006, but seems it's around 1-2 million per year... maybe the source I got it from last time had wrong information or had mixed up the results with Croatia as "10 million" for Croatia comes up a lot when searching for +2006 +serbia +tourism +industry keywords. But even so Serbia seems to be the up and coming tourist hotspot in Europe - 322 MILLION EUROS PROFIT IN 2006.... that's a big big pie to get a share out of :)
