I've had this domain for at least 15 years. Looking to sell it but I have no idea what it's worth.

Don't ask me about CPC or traffic or anything technical - because the domain has been sitting dormant for a long, long time (buying/selling domains isn't my business).

Any help on a valuation would be useful!

Thanks!

Could be worth quite a bit. Aged, well known saying...should be interesting! Really nice domain.

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Thanks! I like the sound of "quite a bit" but that probably means somebody can buy it from me and resell for a profit. I've got my number in mind and, looking around at what other things are selling for, it's nowhere near "quite a bit."

:)

What do you have in mind?

You could have a reputable broker handle it. You wouldn't sell a domain like that in a forum. Just my opinion.

Thanks again! Can you point me in the direction of a reputable broker?

Actually no one can give you much of an educated price range on this domain for two reasons. There zero sales history of the term. And the term would be offensive to most big money uses.

But it has obvious value.

You should have had people begging you to buy the domain over the years. Try to remember the highest offer.

Looks like you own the net too.

Feels too offensive for mainstream anything. But too offputting/wrong sex/not too brandable for porn.

Feels its enduser would be a Howard Stern type blogger/podcaster, looking for maximum attention.

Still though lol, no one offered you enough cash to sell it in 15 years.

If bitchslapcosmetics.com can sell for $1000 then lol

Your name really is five figures or continue holding.

Good Luck

Great feedback, and much appreciated, Johname.

I've had offers through the years but never cared. Couldn't tell the pro offers from the spambot offers. This isn't my area of expertise or interest. Many, many moons ago, as a young tech guy, I bought about 30 domains. I remember selling maidstone.com and scratchandsniff.com, and maybe just a few others. But I never marketed, I never replied to cold calls, etc. I simply didn't care. Like you said, I was simply buying and holding because I was never interested in doing the after market research and.....in the end.....the domains cost nothing to acquire in the first place. It's not like selling a used Ferrari - where you better know the details.

Advice from a newbie. You want top dollar? You need exposure.plus add value to it and SEO the crap out of it and put it on all the major outlets godaddy sedo flippa.

One term I learned recently Press Release.very powerful term for two reasons. You can do a press release to announce your business or company whatever is selling SonOfABitch.com and put a price on it. Sky's the limit. But also put that it's make offer. With a buy it now price
Press releases aren't cheap but depending which service you use you can have your domain mentioned in more that 400,000 news outlets online. What this means is "mentioned"= backlinks. Effective killing two birds with one stone. Promoting your domain sale and at the same time adding value to it with backlinks at all the major news outlets. It pays to pay top dollar using thee best press release service so you won't end up getting mentioned in crap low ranking news outlets which might end up devaluing your domains.it wouldn't hurt to ask the service for their list of news outlets they will send your PR to.

This is what I plan to do with my domains soon. When potential buyers see your domain they will undoubtedly check the link juice backlinks going to your domain.

SonOfABitch.com with 400k backlinks 20% of which is probably high ranking. Plus max exposure for your domain sale. Sounds like a win win to me.

Not many domainers will tell you this on here. Kinda a trade secret that should be obvious.

Hope it helps.

If you want to sell the domain name, then that's exactly what it's like :)

In general this is probs seen as low value given it's offensive etc. But it's a well known phrase so I wouldn't be surprised to see a high (or at least decent) value sale for it. How much is very hard to say as there is no general market value and would entirely depend on who wanted it etc.

Do you have any of the offer emails? If so then perhaps start weeding out the obvious spam and researching the remaining ones to see who has offered and how much they'd go to etc.

Good luck. I'd be interested in an update on price etc if you do eventually sell it :)

It would have to be top premium listing, as no-one is searching for this name nor would any of the keywords in it be returned in a search for someone likely looking for this name or similar :)

Not like "FinanceSomeKeywords.com" etc

Thanks, Silentptnr, but if "bitchplease" is worth $5K then "sonofabitch" is work triple that. At any rate, after very little consideration, and seeing the time and effort it's going to take to market my domains correctly, I've come up with a price: I'll put them all up for $10K.

Which leads me to my next question: How do I put an entire list of domain names up for auction? Argh! Somebody just PM me an offer and let's be done with this! I've got golf to play! :)

Lol, that's where it's pointed now....you had to know that!
Too bad you didn't get SonsOfBitches.com and point that over to the G7 Summit. The people deciding the fate of mankind. Depopulation? Sons of bitches!! Lol

Oh well, out of desperation and lack of time/energy, I just put it up on eBay with it's .net brother for $9999 and no reserve. Item number: 112049421352

Don't even know if I listed it in the right place! :)

It's a nice domain but adult/offensive domains seldom sell for big money, no matter how popular the expression. Possible buyers (just guessing): Coulter, Limbaugh et al. But in the US you have the 7 dirty words FCC rules that are somewhat of a holdback.
So this one is more of a novelty. I don't really see this one going over mid-$,$$$ but I could be wrong.

What kind of offers have you got so far ?

PS: in the early days Netsol had a policy of selective censorship, they even deleted shit.com but spared others, or denied some registrations.
