I am curious about something...
For example if you have a loans website... and you buy links on directories or websites and you use the anchor text for the link "student loans website"... Will the anchor text "student loans website" be as efficient as the anchor texts "student loans" and "loans website" when the users type "student loans" or "loans website" in the SE ?

You need to diversify your anchor links so looking at it from a wider angle it sure does add value.
Provided the pages you get the back links from are topically relevant.
