Anyone who could offer some insight on the value or validity of these names?

I'm a frustrated ebayer! I'm trying to determine if its the quality of my names that sucks or if its just a depressed market. Any advice is welcome!

The names suck. Sorry.
eJobDirectory is maybe-kinda-sorta viable with development, but as a name platform, almost no value there.

NewerUsedCars.com - Doesn't that classify itself as an oxymoron? Can't say I would bother with any of these names myself either.

Well, 'quality' will sell in a depressed market, so you can't blame the market here. I think you'd have more luck buying better names on ebay, than selling these. (...anywhere!)

It's the names.

maybe to get a better understanding is WHY you choose these names to register. For instance what drove you to get 720credit? What does the 720 mean? Area code? and who would you think would buy that name?

I used to be new (still am really) and now I tend to buy names if they seems like a reasonable fit to a business...generic in terms of search results....can be built out as a viable website....think more along these lines and do way more research on the boards. Even at ebay for .99 start i dont see these taking off.

When I saw the 720, i thought of a score, but now that you mention it, I can see how that could be confusing.:? Maybe more along the lines of 720CreditScore.net or vise-versa would be more clear. I've been at it (on a hobby level) for about a year & 1/2 now and I think my problem is looking at names from more of a developmental point of view as opposed to a reseller's.

eBay throws me for a loop! I see some really good names lately selling for dirt, whereas other seemingly not so hot names command a decent price. Just for my own sanity, I put in some due diligence and its not that they actually have a traffic base or even get searched alot. And some don't even make ANY f*ckin sense! It makes me wonder if there's like a bunch of shill bidders just trying to make it seem like its worth something.

None of the above. The domain game is changing and this is a losing hand. Best bet is to grace delete the whole lot and do a little more research. Best of luck Jerry. IMO.

ok, let me tell you something about ebay. (and i am talking about ebay ONLY, and not sedo, etc.)

if you want to sell your names on ebay, it is NOT only about the quality of the names. this is bullsh..t.
it is ALSo about the way you make your title, if you use Bold or not, some forget to put "DOMAIN NAME" in the title and just write blaaaa.com, so most people who search for domain names, dont find your name , it is also about the way you present your listing, the starting price, the time you start and end the auctions, the logo you make for you listings, etc. etc. etc.

and YES, the Maket on Ebay IS depressed (as it is elsewhere too). so i don't agree with any of the posts above (if we talk about ebay),

few months ago, you could sell almost every 5 letter domain name for $20-$30 on ebay.
or other names, for which NP domainers would probably pay nothing, ebayers paid few dollars.
now, it is different.
thats why i stopped selling on ebay until
1) End of Summer
2) Better Market

Well, your names are not names for which pro. domainers would pay lot of money (if any), but they (not all, but some) are names which can be sold on ebay. , ok except 720credit.net, this one is really crap lol

But of course, you should increase the quality of your names too.
there are better available names on drop lists, etc. which you can register and sell on ebay

but remember: ebay is ALWAYS gambling. you never know what happens, i had a name which i thought would not even sell for 5 dollar which sold for $150 (and Vice Versa), so if you like to gamble and if you want to sell fast and a lot, with little profit each but ok profilt for the whole package, Ebay is OK! otherwise, use Sedo etc. or combine

Thanks alot HQ! You're right, 720Credit.net sucks, and I'm still not sure why i reged it, but I'm not convinced that ALL my names suck. I'm still learning the is and outs of what constitutes a good domain and I think my confusion lies in the ups and downs I've had on ebay!

When I started, my names weren't nearly the quality that they are now, and I still had some decent sales. I feel that I have gotten better at choosing names, but the timing of the market has thrown me for a loop because (til recently) I've sold exclusively on ebay and there hasn't been a good basis for comparison.

I'm realizing that its the end-user that ultimately determines the value of ANY domain! So I need to think more like and end-user and less like an investor. Thanks to everyone for all of your input!
