Hey dudes,

I'm a new user joined to this forum. as i read topics and see the people's comments about backorder services, i got a question. Can you help me about it?
----
I wanted to order a backorder service for a less popular ccTLD (country extension) domain name which is currently registered by the German registrar "1API.net". First, i went to their website to see if it's possible to do the backorder by that registrar or not, but they showed me a "this domain is not available" message.

So I decided to search for that domain on different websites like snapnames, namejet, dropcatch, phoeenix, goddady .. and among these sites, only snapnames showed me the domain is available to be backordered for $79.

But i also found out, there is a British site named bb-online.com out there, that do backorders for that ccTLDs domain extension .. but this website's model, is to set backorders for each domains only by one single user, and they don't do private/public auctions for any domains.

I checked out my needed domain in there, but unfortunately that showed me the message "this domain is already being monitored on behalf of a client." :xf.frown::xf.frown:

So i decided to come back to snapnames to set backorder service for that domain. But i wanted to ask you about the ((firepower)) of this backorder services. It looks snapnames is very popular among domain activitists, but i just saw bb-online.com on google search results.

So friends, what's your idea about these two sites? :angelic::angelic:

Yes dude why not .. I want to backorder for a French ccTLD, the (.RE) extension.
I found only two places to do this, Snapnames and the British website BB-online.com .. now I want to compere the firepower of these services for backordering that .RE domain.

but as i mentioned above, bb-online.com's policy, is to set backorders for each domains only by one single user, and they DON'T run private/public auctions for any domains.

So do you have any idea my friend?

Seriously?? .. Advertising what? Somewhere like as a domain marketplace or something?
You know, the ccTLD i want to set a backorder for it, is (.RE) extension .. I found only two places to do this, Snapnames and the British website bb-online.com .. now I want to compere the firepower of these services for backordering that .RE domain.

Do you have any opinion about firepower when comparing these services together? Kindly let me know, Thank you.

From my experience Snapnames but not sure if they catch .RE many other services you can ad different extensions but actually not catch/work
About BB-online ( imo & only my opinion ) be aware do not lose money , but is just my opinion

I agree with you, friend .. because bb-online is very less popular than Snapnames among domainers & I found it only in google search results.
I searched about it on this forum and found only 2 or 3 threads.

But you know, my exact concern is that somebody has ordered a backorder for that .RE domian name on bb-online, and i'm going to sign up on Snapnames for it then. That's why i opened this thread to ask people about these two's firepower.

but whatever, thank you for spending your valuable time on reading my contents.

Regards.

Still the only person asks about “BB-online”

I continue to never hear of this company,

Just stick the the #2 Snapnames man.
Why not both? You only have to pay if you win.

Yeah man you're true, I wanted to use both services but you know,
Bb-online only lets to backorder a domain only by one user (not several) just like a unique username for social media accounts, and it's price is much more than Snapnames ($79 vs $121).

I checked my needed .RE domain on bb-online & found that somebody has backordered it before me.
So currently I don't have any other choice than Snapnames.

But whatever friend, thank you for spending your valuable time on reading my content.
Regards.

Sorry to stop by and post in an old thread, but anyhow, I wanted to add some info about BB-online.
P.S. I don't work for any company!

So, if you haven't heard of BB-online, you may have heard of Nominate.com if you ever explore rarer ccTLDs. I do have a couple of domains registered with them before I found Netim. But for ccTLDs I've also used Marcaria and even Afriregister. For the standard domains I like Gandi.net a lot, but they can be expensive for most extensions.

In my view, Nominate seems to be a fine company, except that their site seems old in terms of interface. Nonetheless, prices and functionality are alright. For some ccTLDs they offer very good prices.

Now, regarding the original guys question, DomainRecover.net is also run by Nominate.com and they advertise on NamePros for drop catching ccTLD. I noticed that by accident while trying to use DomainRecover.net just today.

How good they are at catching lesser used ccTLDs is something I will find out in a few weeks. :xf.cool:

The following are taken from their respective website:

About Nominate

Nominate is run by BB Online who started trading in Copenhagen 1995 and moved to the United Kingdom in 1997. Since then we have specialised in domain name reselling. We provide registration, secure web hosting and technical support to over 5,000 corporates principally in the UK and Europe.

About DomainRecover.net

Company History
Domain Recover is administered by BB Online Limited, one of the first UK ICANN accredited registrars. We have built a world class dropcatching service, a dropcatching service which specialises in an array of ccTLDs, not just one. And just recently, we have expanded our dropcatching service with the addition of the new gTLDs.

I associate "BB" with the Brandbucket acronym more, than "Nominate.com" and any other "ccTLD" DropCatch.

There's a slew of services, with excellent domains, but past their prime. Pool.com is one.
Not sure if Nominate.com is one of them. Only excellent domain of the bunch. I believe that you dont work for them, but also never heard of Marcaria and even Afriregister. They're names arent even that particularly memorable, imo! (sans, Nominate) so they must have good service

I have a neutral opinion towards all, except BB-Online (strange name), and Nominate.com is no doubt the crown-jewel name.
(Whether they use it up to its potential, remains to be seen, but quite a name, wow)

Manipulation of system to own the most "ICANN accredited" Registrars to "catch the drops" Few compete with DropCatch, Snapnames for dot com. These Registrars, which serve no purpose than picking up names, should be barred. It's all bs, give everyone an equal shot.

I'll give you for ccTLD and newer exts, it's more of an even playing field.

Oh, I just happen to know about those two because I hunt for domain hacks and often want to find good registrars for lesser known ccTLDs. Even then, I prefer Netim for most of my ccTLDs.
I own domains in 27 different ccTLDs and 5 gTLD apart from the standard ones.

Yes, I think a lot of decent services have gotten past their prime. I hope some of them can come back. And, I could not agree with you more on the fact that I'd rather live in a world without a drop-catcher service. I know individuals will then try to amass enough resources, but somehow I wish it wasn't so predictable that all good domains land in the hands of two ridiculously powerful services. And yes, ICANN policies allow for such things to happen.
