halvarez & bonkers are the only ones that stand out to me, I've seen bonkers bid up to $30,000 before so he must have a nice budget.

Just bid what you're willing to pay, and what the name is worth to you.
It is exciting to bid against the "big-boys", but in the end, it kind of sucks if someone with an almost unlimited budget isn't willing to pay as much as you are for a domain name
