Hey All,
I am somewhat new to the whole expired domain business, i have been reading alot on namepros, domainstate, WHT etc. I think i have some sort of a grasp of most things :)

What i am wondering is when a domain i want say is in pending-delete. I can go place an order on Pool or Snapnames ( They seem to be what most people suggest ) for $60 minimum. When i domain drops do snapnames and pool pretty much always 'grab' it? I can image this is fine for domains you want to pay more for but what do i do if i want a cheap domain. Where would be best to place my back order i appreciate that if the domain is in demand you wont have much chance of getting it.

So basically where can one get a cheap drop ? Naturally if no one wants a domain you could get it manually:) Basically i want to pick up some cheap names which still have a little bit of traffic, would it be better to just stick to domains that have dropped and not been registered?

Thanks All Alex

Thanks, i have actually read a couple of your posts on this board and they were very useful. Is it just enom.com the offer this service or do you get it through resellers ? Is there anyone else thats any good ?

I have been using snapnames etc to look at pending delete details and i find the site really great as it offers all the yahoo/dmoz/overture details. Is there anything similar for names that have dropped and not be snapped up. I have found plently of lists of recently expired domains but none with the yahoo/alexis/overture details... do you know of any free services or even pay ones ?
Thanks Alex

I have a tool at my site, if you're talking about checking the backlinks.

Everyone can use enom.com , just login to your enom account from enom and select "Auctions" you find "Club Drop" in the dropdown menu.

SnapCheck got even more info,

You can also use Godaddy to backorder domains, they take $18.95 per domain. the problem is that Godaddy nearly never get any domains and they only let 1 person "reserve" a backorder on a domain so you need to be in GOOD time like you need to enter them 3 month before they expire. Also you need to prepay for the backorder and if they do not get the name you do not get a refund , but are able to use it to backorder another domains ( up to 1 year then you just loose your money if you do not get a name ).

Ok kool thanks for the info. I am still looking for a free site that listed recently deleted domains that have not been 'caught' that shows alexia/dmoz stats etc so one can filter out the c*ap. I would also pay if it looked promising.
Deleteddomains shows the recently deleted domains but one would have to check them by hand or use software to see if they had any potential or residual traffic ?
Any ideas thanks Alex?
