I'm the owner and would like an appraisal.

Also how much do you think I can get for it if I sell via an auction platform?

Update: being brokered by domain holdings, https://flippa.com/6815016-smaller-com , will be sold this time..

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Very hard one to evaluate as it has no immediately obvious usage. It'll likely be a business that the name suits their campaign/project.

"smaller" is more often negative than it is positive, not for everything of course but then more keywords would likely be more desirable to add an accompanying descriptive word.

That said, it is a good single word com and could be used in various projects and marketing, so I think you will sell it, for how much I could not accurately say. Easily 3 to v low 4 figures (end user), perhaps even low 5 figures with enough visibility and time (and most certainly luck that some end user really wants it).

Good name, I would advise keeping it until you receive an offer you are happy with (likely for some time) :)

This is good one word dictionary name, and is often user.
I will have a same view as @james haw
high xxxx to low xxxxx is certain possibility.
Good Luck!!!

It's a popular adjective in common use but has limited branding scope however big it proves to be.

Difficult to appraise this domain, few sales of similar domains have been reported but below are some to compare with :

younger .com sold for $75K
stronger .com sold for $25K
larger .com sold for $24K

Children are really just smaller people, I guess this domain might appeal to this market.

Other niches include weight loss, smaller sized consumer products and file compression.

Low - Mid $xx,xxx

Smaller could be a nice name for the electronics industry where smaller is better.

I'd say mid xxxxx. Could be a site for small items.

the big difference from those domains and his is those are all positive words, smaller is negative...in the future stay away from negative words..I still think you can get a couple $x,xxx for it.

It could be used a business providing professional services to small companies, that are more affordable. Ya know...to help the little guys

Smaller(dot)com, catchy name for maybe baby, children fashion or toys. Mid XXXXX

Domainer mid x,xxx to upper x,xxx range. End user lower xx,xxx and up.

My wife is only 5' 9 and she has a hard time finding clothes to fit her, smaller.com would be a great site for smaller men, or women IMO...

Nice domain...

Could it be used to describe weight loss?

Do people often say they want a "smaller" bum, thighs, stomach?

Yeah possibly.

That would be my initial angle.

No idea on price, good luck.

I think this domain can worth a minimum of $10k and up to $25k+ on all public markets. Finding the end-user for this generic word can be less lucrative than public listing. Also worth spending around $250 in advertising for this name, can be a golden ticket, just sayin`...

Should I list it on Flippa or GoDaddy?

I'd pick Flippa first, with paid promotion.

And set a decent and fair reserve you'd be happy to get. Don't let this go to another investor for silly money ;)

You could also list it in the Top domain forum here on NP. Serious buyers hang out in there. (just be sure to read the rules as there are some specifics, like editing first post etc)
