Didn't see this mentioned anywhere else (then again I may just be blind) so I thought I'd check...

I was on the road this week and was getting caught up on my email today when I came across this one from Klickerz. Anyone else get it?

This might just suck 'cuz I just moved a bunch of dn's over to Klickerz and was seeing some respectable results on some that had been lagging for the last 6 months at other parking spots.

I also recieved an email from BigJumbo ("Skenzo Jr") this week "requiring all accounts to generate a minimum of $250 per month in revenue to remain active". Hmmm.... guess I going to have to move some of the better ones from Klickerz over to BigJumbo.

Dear Friends and Clients,

I'm writing to you all from somewhere in California off Interstate Hwy
5. Earlier today, in a telephone conversation, Skenzo informed me that
they have issued a "letter of termination" severing Klickerz'
relationship effective within a very few days. Not having seen the
actual notice, I can't comment on their reasons. We have enjoyed a
prosperous relationship up until now and wish them much success in all
their future endeavors.

While we are saddened by this development we want everyone to know that
the event will not negatively impact our ability to monetize your domain
traffic. We have rapidly made arrangements that will allow for a near
seamless migration away from Skenzo's platform and will likely result in
higher earnings for most portfolios.

For those of you using Klickerz nameservers no effort on your part will
be necessary to change anything over. For those using URL forwarding it
will be necessary to switch to DNS. For those using their own DNS to "A"
record to Skenzo's IP you'll need to update accordingly. We will
provide details on all that shortly.

We'll be monitoring everyone's traffic closely to ensure proper
reoptimization. However it wouldn't hurt if everyone will visit all
their names right away, or at least their top earners, and take careful
note of the keywords in use. Be sure to alert us to anything that
appears out of the ordinary.

As far as your ability to login and view your now current and past
account info/stats I don't have a definite answer, but will try to get
one. I doubt that Skenzo would block anyone's ability to see past stats
but it would be advisable that you login right away and download your
history. Likewise, there should be no problem with Skenzo paying your
outstanding earnings in a timely fashion.

As for the new platform stats, I want everyone to know that despite the
suddenness we will put together a decent interface. This won't be ready
for a few days and until then for a short time the way you get your new
stats may be a bit clunky. We may just have to regularly email each of
you a CSV file, but rest assured they will be accurate.

Know too that you will be paid on time! From here on out we'll be
handling your payments in-house and whatever issues/challenges Skenzo
faced in processing earnings and getting them out in a timely fashion
will no longer be a factor.

Please know that while everyone at Klickerz will be very busy for the
next few days working on issues related to this changeover we will
nonetheless be available to answer your remaining questions and address
any concerns.

Very Best Regards
Fin

Just got an email telling me the portfolio that I had with them wasn't quite strong enough for their new program and that they would no longer be able to service it.

Waaaaa... :'(

Oh well!! Onwards and upwards.

Bummer, cyberstar...

I also had to laugh the day after they axed me when they posted the "open invitation" below for a domainer get together. Wonder if we "second class domainers" can still go?!?!?

Nobody accused you of being a "second class" domainer. The problem is I simply can't afford to service small accounts, its just not cost effective. Why should we lose money so you can earn? Now I suppose we could have simply cut your rev share to something under 50% but thats not what we're about.

That said you would have indeed been welcome at "FinFest". Steven Douglas, Jothan Frakes, and a few other guys showed up and we just about ran the Edgefield out of hooch! Man oh maN! :snaphappy:

Klickerz is about to launch a new auto-redirection engine. We have more platforms to choose from than just ParkingPanel (although PP is a pretty dang good one). We are also opening up our own PPC ad network and hope to go head to head with GooHoo for the lions share of the domain traffic market. There has been more disruption than I'd hoped for but it is coming together.

Remember one thing if nothing else, Klickerz is a collective marketing organization, a cooperative. It doesn't belong to me personally, it belongs to its memebers. That could be ALL OF YOU! Just like SUNKIST belongs to all it's citrus growers or VISA belongs to all its member banks. Yes you do have to be of a certain size but how hard is it to earn 250 bucks a month???

Hmmm... Sorry, Fin!

Guess my tongue-in-cheek comment was not interpreted as I had intended. Trust me, I very much appreciate your/Klickerz' position and the reasons for making the sound business decision that you did.

Though I was only with Klickerz for a few weeks (2?? 3??? 4???), I was disheartened not only because I was going to have to change parking services once again just as I was seeing results on names that had stopped performing elsewhere, but also because I very much enjoyed and appreciated the exemplary customer service provided by Emily Anne.

For the record, I hold no bad feelings for Klickerz and would happily reapply when my portfolio (or parts of it) is a better match for your program than what you may think it is now.

By the way, had I been in "the neighborhood", you better believe I would have stopped in for your little soiree in Troutdale... After all, it was posted here at NamePros so I know it was an open invitation to one and all, large or small.

No offense taken, TestCase. I am a bit touchy these days.

Anyway, I'll post more on this situation as it develops. I'm still hopefully we can work out a reasonable solution/settlement. Of course I was hopeful about that before.

Anyway, best of luck getting that portfolio up to our high standards. :kickass:

Not only have they withheld Klickerz earnings for the past 3 months they are now 9 days late on my personal earnings (which is a 100% separate corporate entity with a separate contract!) and when I asked about it said I have to wait till next week for a response from their legal team. WTF!

Anyway, I'll post more on this situation as it develops. I'm still hopefully we can work out a reasonable solution/settlement.
Will look forward to your updates, Good Luck!

SKENZO UPDATE:

Looks like we might be moving toward a reasonable settlement. Possibly one that actually rather favorable to Klickerz, all things considered.

While I still believe there are some issues there that could be worked on the same is true for just about everyone in the biz (myself included). I do believe that on the whole the folks running Skenzo really are decent people. Like everyone its hard to put up with some of the abusive crap that gets thrown at us. CF is an especially sensative area and when parking companies get infiltrated by fraudsters it hurts us in more ways than we can count.

To everyone pulling fraud on the system I just want to say that y'all really are scum. I'm sure you think what your doing is ok but its theft plain and simple. The worst theft isn't even the few pitifully small dollars you wind up swiping from advertisers, its the destruction of the marketplace. Every dollar you swipe actually is several dollars lost by an honest domainer. The adverts simply adjust their spend to meet their conversion expectations. They dont lose.

Here's a warning for you CFrs who I know read these threads occasionally: No matter how much you think you have someday you'll realize that its really nothing and that you wasted the best days and years of your life, that is if you're fortunate to live that long. One simply cannot build a solid foundation on lies. You are nothing and nothing is what you'll remain until the day you realize that we're all in this world for a reason.
