Sites Hacked Within 24 Hours ??

I wanted to check my forum as every day and i saw "Hacked By ...."

Also some other sites which are part of this community are hacked like :

VPSByte.com , NABAZA.com etc

I dont think it has to do with type of forum as long as they use powerful hacking tools

It was a CPanel FTP Exploit perpetrated on the NPserve.com servers.. it got all of us.

You cannot prevent this, you can only try to minimize risk, ex. make backup everyday etc.

Or the attacker may have gained a shell (eg c99) on a vulnerable site hosted on the server and rooted, with mass defacing it.
