Hello,
what would be the best way to maintain and submit sitemaps to google for:

Static pages - For static pages, I used some free sites that generate xml sitemap which I downloaded to my site and submit to google in webmaster tools. Any better solutions? :)

Dynamic - I have couple of forums and blogs, and i downloaded sitemaps plugins for them, however, google sometimes have problems with reading them and outputs error in webmaster tools.

Thank you :)

It depends by type of your website. If you have a Wordpress site, for example, you can install a plugin called sitemap. When you post a new page this plugin will ping automatically Google. In this way, the crawler will visit quickly your website.

Thank you, I upgraded to the new version of that plugin and everything works fine, yahoo and bing was able to read that site map also.

But what about static pages?

Do you add more static pages in your site? If yes, then may be you can get some script that builds sitemaps. I think some free scripts are available that can build sitemaps for you.
