Hi Folks,
we're looking for the site design and DB code that is needed to run a review site.
The site needs to have a voting system that also gives users the ability to comment. The commenting should be done much like the "stars" rating here on NP for the registrars, while the user still has the option to leave individual notes. The voting determines the top 10 out of each category and should be real time.
The site should work by state and city as well as globally/product related.
Randomly showing top 10 from categories on the frontpage while consistently showing the top 10 pertaining to their category.
Example: on the frontpage, the category Domain Boards can be randomly shown with its top 10 boards, while in the Forum/Board category, the top 10 will always have to be shown. Same thing applies to music charts, etc.
there will have to be a core of categories with the option to add categories upon USER entry. As in, if the user is looking for a category "Bars" in LA and the category is not yet there, with the users entry "Bars" + "LA" this category will be established. call it user driven "open source". the other way would be to add categories upon user request, i'm open for that as well.
There needs to be the ability to run a flash video player or similar that allows the site to run videos as well, without anyone having the opportunity to download. Also, certain sections should be "lockable" and by approved access only. the locking of sections and member approval needs to be admin driven.
there's a bit more to it, but i believe you get the gist of it and can use your own imagination and skills from here on out. If you have any additional questions please PM me.
I'm looking for individuals that can program this site/db with a "turn key" approach, you can use existing templates, they MUST be modified though to represent individuality/unique looks.
This is open to everyone, so if you're a new designer and need a project for your portfolio, we are welcoming your submission and you will be cited across the site and with a banner in rotation as the one that built the site.
Once the site has been coded, we insist on a release form to be signed and the coding NOT to be resold to any other party.
PM me with your price pleas, 6 months support/tweaking/revisions to be included. If you have existing work, please link to it for review.
Payment via PayPal upon completion and tested functionality.
