Site Advice Please

Hey, I have to do a website for a department at my college. The department is based on Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Coaching.

I have no idea on a design that I should use or anything. Could you please give me some input on what I should include or what not to and/or a template that I could look at for Ideas? At the moment Im stumped and cant come up with ideas that would be appropriate(heavy tech doesnt work for a school) .

Anything could help at the moment.

A great template website is templatemonster.com also try a CMS system that you can also choose a theme, Like Mambo

Joomla would be perfect. I would say get them to get some MySQL. This way even dumb people can update your site.

@Chronos Thanks for the suggestion, but those are done in DW and not very well coded, but it did give me some ideas.

You could always use CSS for a design or something.

If I can remember which CMS scripts I saw that use a flat text system I will post or IM you. I know where are a few that don't need a data base, Also try hotscripts.com their a great resource as well

I go to school with Kage and I can tell you the site is really bad looking and the people he works for are tight pennied.
