In the past couple of weeks I have "registered" and submitted the relevant documentation for two .it using two different registrars.

First one, after five days of pushing registrar finally advises that my faxed application has been rejected - no reason given at that time or since.

OK no problem -then I check the name again- registered to an Italian address -four days after my initial registration -hmmm.

Undaunted, I see another good one available but decide to use a different registrar. The name is "registered" pending my sending the relevant fax to the same office as before in Italy.

The documents were duly faxed 6 days ago.

Guess what, you are right- the faxed application was again rejected (Paper work provided by them- I simply had to sign and fax).

And guess what, yes- you are right again - the name I had applied for was registered via an Italian address- again four days after my initial "registration".

Anyway, as I said- Simply coincidence. :p

I had two opportunities with .it both failed for whatever reason, and was certainly not an experience I choose to repeat. One was English, one was Italian.

just wait september, so you could register .it domain in the same way of .com

However, I to am focusing on local domaining, China and India , idn with the former, predominately .cn, and a fairly good portfolio in the ascii.cctld's of the latter.

surely a big market, good luck with it!

There is too much greed surrounding most cctlds wot, I'm sure you're aware of them.

Its mostly apparent in newer cctlds, coz the old ones it was done a while back :lol:

No wonder we get so much of paypal sucks etc. This is what I just got from them:

dissatisfaction in the seller's record for future reference.


So, I have no name and have lost 35 euro - just beware when buying domain names using paypal via cc - they suck big time as far as I am concerned.

Um, you need to contact paypal by phone, and work your way up the administration until someone does what you want. There is a time to be nice, and a time to be -not- nice.

I would argue the concept that owning a domain is 'virtual'.
