Simple GoDaddy Question - Please

Just to make sure. If I have a domain name registered for a year in GD and I push it into the account of another GoDaddy user. Will that person not be able to transfer the domain out of GoDaddy for another 60 days because of the "push"? Help please. Thanks

Correct!! If the person want's the domain in another registrar they should initiate a transfer whilst it is still in your godaddy account. If there is enough time left before the domain expires that is.

I know it sounds stupid.. but it has had a burder on all of us at one time.

I wanted a domain at namecheap that i bought off someone on godaddy, and well i requested a push to a godaddy account (because I hate the transfer period and it makes me feel more secure) before i transfered to namecheap. Needless to stay i got stuck in the 60 day window.

Now I am stuck for 60 days. I didn't know this and it doesn't make sense. It is within the same registrar and ICANN rules specify 60 days for transfer between different registrars not account holders within the same registrar.

Just to clear a few things up. If you push a domain at GoDaddy, or even update any whois information it enters a 60 Day Lock. This however is not a lock mandated by ICANN which is 60 days only for

1.) New Regs
2.) Regs that have recently changed Registrars

If you are persistent enough you can get GoDaddy to remove their 60 Day lock that is imposed by them, and outside ICANN's policy itself.

Yep. But personally, I'd transfer it back to your account before doing so.
