.xyz is doing well on the West.cn platform. I'm looking at the latest weekly report from Westo.cn where .xyz was the top seller for the week, scoring $31k (204k yuan) or 20% of the total weekly sales. Five of the top 10 were taken by .xyz. As you can see below, they are all very short Pinyin names.

Fu.xyz was sold for $4,333 (28,888 yuan). It's is an excellent 1-pin word which may mean 福 (happiness), 付 (pay), and 富 (wealth). Now that .xyz has been approved by MIIT, the domain name can be used to develop websites in many big money making fields such as dating, payment, and investment.

As of now, it appears so.

I don't intend on making a sale for it, as of yet. I believe the ngTLD market will be stronger here in Japan. I've frequently seen more obscure signs that have ngTLDs posted. One of which, I took a picture some time ago... was a poster for a triathlon in a men's bathroom. They decided to use .Okinawa for promotion. I believe DomainGang recently published another sign spotted in Tokyo using .clinic. I've seen others as well, but, I think this trend will grow - here, at least.

It's a holder for now.
