It's definitely not pushed overly hard by most. Just Jason, here and on X. Read his posts... they push a narrative - rather than engage in dialogue. In fact, when one attempts to engage in dialogue on X, Jason blocks and later disparages them (instead of just apologizing or saying "you annoy me").
I'm all for differing viewpoints. I surely could be wrong about .si I've definitely been wrong before - so many times I've lost count. As we all are. That's why I'm all for dialogue and open conversation. Jason has been unwilling to do that (so far). Either way, .si exists without him so I'm happy to have a dialogue with others. Perhaps I will learn something new.
You are correct, the term put together as one word has more interest than two words. however, it is marginal in comparison to AI. Also - the countries where it is being searched are not the sorts that I would suggest are "leading" the way. Seems more like domainers to me... but who knows maybe there is something going on in Ethiopia that I'm unaware of.
There have only been 3 sales since .si became "hot" on X. None are live, and one is already for sale. My guess is domainers bought all 3.
I'm all for a little investing and taking a few names as a gamble is something I tend to do. But I struggle to see any "life" in this extension (yet)
