I know there are some people on this forum that picked up some obama names some time ago, and looks like things are moving along for the barack obama campaign.

Some obama names will be rising in demand with every step he takes towards the election and, perhaps white house.

In '04, some dude (not here) was going around and carrying on that someone had offered him $150k+ for his domain name, KerryEdwards.com ... which was his actual First/Last name (and also that, of course, of the Democratic ticket), IMHO. :blink:

I can't find the site but I recall a thread where the owner of KerryEdwards.com said he turned down offers <$100k in 2004 from the campaign and others because he was making more money parking, and that with all the backlinks the domain continues to make about $100/month nowadays I think.

Hey, here's an idea. Let's go out and register a bunch of names for presidential candidates so we can post them in this thread and later get a C&D, UDRP, and likely sued for damages by the same presidential candidates and their lawyers. Sounds brilliant to me.

Out of curiosity, are you advertising much?

I have not spent a dollar advertising. I coined this phrase quite awhile ago. It was one of my first domain purchases. I remember being made fun of on another forum when I asked for appraisals. For the most part, it was reg fee or <reg fee. One nice chap introduced me to cafepress. Not much action for the first year or so, but things are going quite well now I was surprised to see my slogan being used on Obama's official store a few months back. My traffic comes mostly from Google (#1 for "Obama Mama"). A little self-promotion...Free shipping on all orders over $50...Use Coupon Code race08 :blink:
