I'll start here's my million dollar domain.

Primorsky.com

Primorsky Krai is a planned development in Eastern Russia. 8 casinos are already scheduled for development.

It's planned on becoming the "Las Vegas of the East" and to compete for the customers of Macau.

It is right on the border with China and opens up to the sea of Japan. so it can accommodate Korean and Japanese Gamblers.

People always say on here that selling domains is not easy.
If we extrapolate difficulty with money amounts.

A domain that is difficult to sell because it's priced at $10,000?
Then a domain where you are asking for $2 million has to be way more difficult.

I'm sure that it doesn't work that way. Names that sell in the millions don't take effort to sell because the sales most likely come about organically. Someone wants it bad and is willing to pay top dollar for it.

I repeat there are 8 multi billion casino and resort projects under contract to be built in this area. Not to mention multi billion dollar infrastructure plans like train tracks from China to this area plus a marina for future docks for cruise ships and luxury yachts. Plus plans for an F1 track/ grand prix course.

There is no doubt that it will rapidly appreciate in value, even millions of dollars.
But I still believe Primorsky can't compete with LasVegas. Russia's economy is far below that of the US or even China. And the cold climate in Russia makes it impossible to even 'go surfing' after getting enough 'chips'.

Alright alright. I have provided a list from namebio of all domains that have sold for above $1 million.

So I'm guessing the mindset here is because Primorsky.com never sold for $1 million it never will? comps or data be damned? that it?

you guys have seen the list of million dollar sales.

Assuming how many words are in the dictionary and how many possible 2N and 2L and even 3N and 3L .com's there are in the world.

should we assume because those that are not on the list are not million dollar domains? simply because they are not on that list?

because it seems the only true test that a domain is a million dollar domain is whether it sold in the past for over a million.

There are many domains that should sell for over a million dollars that are not on that list.
there are domains that technically SHOULD sell themselves because they are single dictionary keywords or whatever.

but even then they are not on that list. Think those domains don't need a sales pitch to sell for a million dollars and up?

at the end of the domain it all boils down to public sentiment or opinion. kind like how I personally feel about Primorsky.com.

I know a bunch of big time domain brokers who would disagree. I mean these are people who justify their commission fees because of their skill at pitching a domain name to the buyer.

If it were THAT easy we wouldn't hear stories of million dollar sales ending up taking weeks, months or even years to happen.

best believe there was some form of "salespitching" going on during that time frame.

buyers always want to negotiate no matter how good your price is.

So when a buyer says "Can you do $1,500,000?"

Your reply will be? "No. $2,000,000. Take it or leave it."

Please note any word or sentence that comes after "No the price is $2 million" is going to be a "salespitch" to convince the buyer that $2 million is a good price to pay.

anything else is just some "cool" domainer fantasy.

unless of course your way is to list a domain on a marketplace with a buy now of $2 million. then yea. no salespitch.

this is probably why certain domains that should sell for their million dollar asking price never get sold because no one explains to them why it is a million dollar domain. aka the salespitch.

my domain? nobody knows what is going on in Primorsky. That billions are being invested. So of course at first glance Primorsky.com is not a million dollar domain name. just like how no one would have told InvestReit.com would have sold for $55K or CoinMena.com sold for $25K.

it's always those dark horse "out there" domain names that surprise people and sell for big money. We see such domain sales constantly on NP.

I've renewed Primorsky.com till 2028. I consider it my retirement fund.

but that's my opinion. let's just agree to disagree.

Given what the current value is for Lasvegas.com and Vegas.com and Macau.com. All casino gambling destinations.

Also I don't think I specified that your domain needed to have been sold for $1+ million dollars in the past to be considered a million dollar domain. Nor did I specify whether it can be sold for over $1 million right now. Kinda left that open ended. Meaning can Primorsky.com ever be sold for over $1 million say 5 to 10 years from now? Once there is 8 casinos built and operating? I think so. It is within reason.

So please don't be upset I posted it here. Without a pause or thought I genuinely believe it is a million dollar domain based on geo comps and data.

if hard concrete data and comps indicate that your domain can possibly sell for $1+ million dollars? Then why should it not be showcased here and liked?

Probably not a good idea but a worse idea is for me to be the judge. Its better this way. And I do see you have taken full liberties with the disagree button. Switch those to dislikes and I'll get this thread deleted. Tell a friend! Lol
