Many domainers reg domains and flip it before renewal and expiring a year later.
Some keep them for years but with the intention to sell for big money.
Others will allow a domain to expire and delete.

And then there are the rare occassions where a domainer once they land on a great domain will never sell it. Ever.

Does this last bunch exist? Let's see.

So what domain do you own that you would never allow to expire or delete or sell?

Should be some great and odd stories and explanations.

There are people who collect comics and stamps and coins who never sell until they die and their greedy kids sell it off for big money.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
What's the maximum time you can renew your domain in one order at your registrar?
.to over at tonic registry still allows 100 year renewals.

* edit: not governed by icann

I would sell any domain, for the right offer.

Brad

DataCube.com?

edit: why did I just see that your namepros profile name is not registered?

BMugford.com is available for reg?

You've been around here since 2007 with 9K+ posts and 13K likes. I'm surprised you did not secure the EMD for your profile. I expected when I checked whois for it just now that it would be taken.

Your name BMugford is very well known on Namepros and very well liked too.

As far as personal names I would never sell it.

although on thee other hand I do tend to forget to renew domains by accident so I might lose domains to expiration or redemption.

Ohh i see, a name deep sentimental value, doesnt have to be valuable.

Or best of both worlds; Elon Musk's "X.com" He'll never sell that lol

or even something that has deep meaning to you.

like if you were Black and by chance you got to register BlackLivesMatter.com

I don't really see the need for it. My last name is not all that popular. I own my full name in .COM, it just forwards to my company website though.

I would love to own my surname in .COM though. I have tried to acquire that for the last 20 years, but it is in use by an end user and they are not willing to sell it for every very strong offers.

Brad

Understood. but still though you have great stats for your profile name on Namepros.

Everyone knows you as BMugford on Namepros at least in the domainer circles.

plus it's the closest and most relevant name you can get to your surname and you've established it since 2007. my personally I would have reg it just for the hell of it.

We always tell buyers to secure domains that matter to their business don't we? it really threw me off when I checked the whois for BMugford.com. I expected you to have owned it.

I was going to say along with Datacube.com would you sell BMugford.com? but when I find out you don't own it. lol

sh/a/wn/.n/u

Firstly, it's not a very valuable extension, so any offers wouldnt outweigh any personal value I've attached to it.
Secondly, I've had it for a decade and it's sort of my personal brand.

For me it would be WeeMore.com for all its possibilities. Amazon....eat your heart out. Who doesn't like just a wee more of anything good:xf.grin: Where do you shop?
:xf.laugh::xf.laugh::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:(n)

Sounds more like the website name for a company selling pills for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia or kidney stones.
reminds me of..............

I'm keeping this for few more years. I'm setting it on autoreg:

"bitcoin.casa"

With the current registrar, renewal is only $9.29.
Yes, if it get's too expensive to renew at any point I'll move registrar as it did with my other name from GD.

K5054.com - Supermarine Spitfire

I started this website in 1999, and it covers the history of the prototype Supermarine Spitfire and the marks that followed her.

This was the first website that I really enjoyed researching and developing, because aviation is a passion of mine and the Spitfire is the most graceful aircraft ever designed.

The site has been dormant since 2008 when I disabled and removed the members forum because of the maintenance involved with keeping hackers out.

One day I will redevelop it :)

hackers attacking a Supermarine Spitfire forum? what were they Nazi's?

I've just re-visited my site and it is embarassing how bad my grammar and prose was, and I hadn't really learned about publishing style. Oh god it's a mess - but it was over 20 years ago.

I have another one (two) besides WeeMore.com i'm keeping because of all the possibilities;

PreventC.com
and
PreventC.org

Prior to the pandemic they could have stood for Prevent Cancer, but now they can be used for Prevent Covid or Prevent Corona....just think of all the possibilities:xf.wink:

Amadex (com)
Privazilla (com)
Cloud (ba)
Email (ba)
IP-Adresse (ch)

But I saw you sold the second one a few months ago on a hosting forum for $492.

And shortly afterwards, you was banned for breaking the rules on numerous occasions and ban evasions?

Sixypress.com , it was a previous startup so purely sentimental keeping it around. I guess if someone offered dumb money ( 6 figures) I would be tempted but seriously doubt that day ever comes. Scienceisexplosive.com pretty sure it has no value beyond being my 2nd ever blog site and having some sentimental use. Wibbets.com ( my company's domain and I'm too lazy to want to change company name) Again dumb money 6 figures could at least compel me but would be surprised to see that happen. Everything else is very much for sale.
