I agree. If there isn't a market for it now, there will be when some scientific study or prescription revolves around these enzymes in the future. How much it will be worth, and more importantly how long until this happens is very debatable. Until then, I'd say at least a little bit on top of the reg fee, maybe max $15 for me, personally.

But wouldn't it be worth the 7 or whatever dollars to reg in case it got big in the next couple of years. As a gambler I will take those odds anyday.

There are plenty of obscure dictionary words that have no real development purpose. This one is no different IMO.
To me it boils down to this:

Does the name stand a realistic chance of selling:

YES
=> hold and wait and pay renewal fee year after year (how long ?)

NO:
=> a. develop (how do you monetise ?)
=> b. drop and cut losses

there are still some obscure dict. words available to reg. but really if you cant monetize=no use.

Patrick, Imismo and Colton, thats what I was hoping for when I regged it. And perhaps it is wise to sit on it for a couple of years ... just incase
Kath and Lappanion, I'm coming around more to you way of thinking. Where domains should either pay for themselves or have a realistic probability of doing so.

Got a few months left so will decide nearer the time.
