Hey should i buy 4F8.com for $17 this is on another forum by the way.
Do you think thats a good price or should i try and get him lower?

Not a bad price for a 3-char; I see some selling for reg fee (although rare nowadays), and some for higher than $17. Still, I don't see a lot of upside potential for these kinds of names unless they have a real-world meaning. You'll have to work to develop this domain before it can be worth anything significant.
