Sex.com is cursed. Yes, it's a valuable domain. No one disputes that fact. However, the fact remains that no one has been able to recoup their investment on it outside of the original owner. I think if anyone has the money and know-how to make it work, it's probably Vivid Entertainment.

They arguably have one of the most valuable adult media collections and greatest number of high-demand adult performers, coupled with a thriving sex toy business as well.

If it were me, and I were in control of Vivid, I would buy the domain, make a free online sex magazine, and use that as a way to market Vivid entertainment and products. Having ran adult sites in the past, I would venture to say that would be the best way to utilize the domain efficiently.
