I'm actually developing a site for gamesntech, I have to ask though, why the negative opinion on 1hd.biz? it would be a fairly positive name for an hdtv retailer, it's a three character name, and I've definitely seen much uglier .biz names sell for a couple of hundred dollars - I'm not knocking your opinion, in fact I appreciate the input, but I'm just a bit curious if I'm off base w/ my opinion of that one.

It's a dot biz. That automatically knocks the price down because it isn't taken seriously as a business web extension. Secondly the combination of letters and numbers is never a great choice for domain names unless it is something like I69.whatever.

It just doesn't look that good in my opinion. I should know, I have some and they are ugly and don't sell.

You have for sure seen some nasty ones sell at auction. People will buy whatever suits their fancy. In general though, the combination of number/letter/dotbiz, is just not that good for resale. I personally would never trust a dot biz if I was buying something like an HDTV. I just wouldn't trust them.

Another example: I own moved.biz. Sounds like a great name for a moving company right? Want to know how many offers I have had? Zero. Nada. A great name that in .com, .net, even say a .info would sell for a great price. Instead, it's a biz, and I will probably not unload it for what it should be worth. In the .com it would probably go for upper $xx,xxx. I will be lucky if I see $xxx anything.

So, do you want moved.biz?

You make valid points that reflect my own concerns. I suppose I'm just staying hopeful that I'll find someone who thinks it'll suit their needs.
