Setting up email account

this is a really newby question but ive got a domain and want to set up an email account with the domain

how do i go about this and how do i check it etc, outlook?

any help is appreciated

Where do you have the domain regged? Are you using the free email option for the domain like GoDaddy offers or through a hosted account? Do you want to set up a POP (where you download all messages off the server) or an IMAP (where all of your messages stay on the server)?

Do you have webhosting with it? You need to create email accounts first then you can access them with email clients like Outlook Express. Some also support webmail, that means you can access your email using just the internet browser like IE.

the domain is at godaddy, i do have hosting aswell

i would rather use the web mail POP kind of email account, how would i go about doing that?

in your cpanel account once logged in click on webmail the one's that installed there are neomail, horde and squirrelmail, click on anything of the 3 if one of those are installed it's ok, if you click on it it will be setup for you first time login. HTH

There should also be a FAQ section on GoDaddy's website on how to set up your email account in Outlook or Outlook Express.
