SEO without content ?

Most of you people might be involved in reselling domain names, and the advice i get from most people is, SEO it and sell it.. It is valued more.

I have seen many domains which are parked but have high pagerank. How do i do such an SEO ?

Even if i DO put up some content, and get my pages indexed, the next person who buys my domain name will surely go with my site content. So whatever i got indexed and ranked for, in google is irrelevant.. as it will get removed some day when i sell it.

So what exactly should i do in such a case ?
How do i SEO a domain just for its name and NOT for its content ?

As an example,

I own GamingCommunity dot net , so how do i SEO it for the phrase "Gaming Community" and not for the content inside it, because i am pretty sure whatever content i put will surely be removed once i sell the domain.

Another example,

I own the domain RNRL dot net and i want it to occur as the #1 result for RNRL in google. So how am i supposed to do that , without any content ?

I hope SEO is for a web site, not for domains. The main objective of SEO is to having some nice sites which has contents. so, if do don't do SEO for content, you domain/site will never come up, then no sale value for the domain.

as dongan states SEO is for content and not domains. If your site does not have content then it is impossible to implement many SEO techniques on it.

The only things you can try to do is get links to the sites that contain the term that you wish to rank for but how many sites are going to link to a site that has no content, furthermore google will take 1 look and move on.

SEO for content can relate to the domains though. If you have the domain barbie-news.biz and you are trying to promote a Halo fan forum site, your search engine rankings would most likely be less than if you had the domain name halofantalk.com
