SEO to a parked page?

This perhaps could sound as a basic question but although I know SEO is expensive and perhaps not worth to do to a parked page. Can do SEO for let's say one year and then stop paying the service and reap the results for the years to come?

I'm sure some seo hypnotizer will say..."look into my eyes, I can seo your parked page"


and then somebody else will say "parked pages don't get listed in google"

so then you don't know who or what to believe.

even though you can park any domain....parking (PPC) really is not for domains that don't already have traffic.

best thing you can do, is have keyword rich domain name, so that the ppc service will/can naturally associate the proper ads with your names.

Most parking programs won't let you build links to a parked page.

Even if they did, they would be crappy links anyway, because that's the only kind you'd be able to get - which would a) not get you much in the way of real traffic or conversions (when people land on a parked page, most of them can't click the "back" button fast enough) and b) penalize the domain for an unnatural link profile.

Doing it the right way so you develop a natural link profile or tiering the links so that your domain doesn't bear the brunt of the slap is probably a lot more time, expense and effort than what you would get in return.

"SEO" with parking programs consist of some allowing you to name the page and a couple of other things like tags and keywords. Surely nothing you would hire someone for a year.
