How much is it possible to sell seo(dot)net for? SEO(dot)COM got sold for $5M in june this year. I know it is not possible to get anything near that..

Well, I registered here today just to get an appraisal from you. I'm not in this business at all. I do other stuff. A friend told me about NamePros and that there were lots of people that is familiar with domain appraisals. Thought I give it a shot.

who ever owns that name wouldn't need an appraisal to know how valuable it is... that name most probably gets offers monthly already. I dont think you own the name but ofcourse i could be wrong...

Of course, you won't approach the price they received for seo.com... however, in your case the dot.net doesn't hurt but helps, since SEO is all about - yes - the NET! There are mixed results with the dot.net lately and sales, some up and some down, but your name matches the ext perfectly.
SEO is very hot. I'll appraise:
reseller = you can probably get in the range of 40 - 80K from a reseller for a name of this caliber and widespread possibility.
end user = I'd LIKE to stay sober and say end user bids would start at under xxx,xxx... but I just don't get that feeling. I think you'll start well into the low xxx,xxx with bids, and conservatively end with 2.5 - 350,000. Could skyrocket higher of course since the use and guaranteed exposure of this name will excite the right people.

Phenomenal name. Being a SEO professional myself, I would totally optimize that domain first and get it on the first page of results for "SEO" on Google and let the buyers find you rather than shopping it around. You will probably get 10x as much that way and any good SEO company could get you on the first page of results since you dont have any extraneous characters. It would cost you some cash upfront but you would make back much more on the final sale.

Yes, I know there is fierce competition for that search term, but I have sites ranking that high for keywords with twice the results and with much, much bigger companies with unlimited budgets shooting for the top spot so it can be done.

Definitely a good name, and one of the best names there can be in the .net tld.

I agree with most of the above posters, and I think you can get high $xx.xxx to $1xx.xxx.

The name is very good, and I would hold it for an end user sale, unless you don't need the money fast.

Sedo is ok, but I think Moniker would be better. Anyway, contact more brokers and decide on your own experience which one do you want to work with.

Also, if you put a bit of content on the site (if you have the time), the domain would be valued more. It is just a small work, and you will see great benefits sometimes. It is like an added bonus if the name is getting some traffic, or if you give the potential buyer an idea of what the domain could be used for (although anybody would know that).

I would put the .net between 75k and 150k but wouldn't doubt it if you sold around 200k.
