discuss Selling XYZ domain to COM domain owner!

Has anyone tried to sell XYZ domain to COM domain owner?

Considering the facts that -

1. The COM owner has crypto-related business
2. The XYZ domain extension is loved and chosen by crypto/NFT/web3 entrepreneurs
3. The name has no Trademarks
4. Other major extensions are for sale

So, is it possible to sell the XYZ domain to the COM owner? If yes, how will you convince him?

also, if you're trying to solicit the .com owner, then what are the "other" major extensions that are for sale?

also, why didn't .com owner buy the other major extensions that were left and the .xyz name, before you?

and... you have to consider that since they didn't or haven't, then maybe they aren't interested.

what makes your .xyz special above the other extensions that are for sale, and still unsold?

Yes it's possible. With the case of XYZ specifically, you could point out the blockchain integrations as well as the ROI from future value gains in holding the extension.

I'm not a huge fan of outbound sales though. In some circumstances it is necessary, but generally speaking if you have to contact someone and convince them to buy then you are at a disadvantage.

It is much better to have leverage as a seller when the end user reaches out to you interested in your domain. Because they have done their research and know the value already.

Chances are, if you reach out to the COM owner, they will say they already have the COM so why do they need the XYZ? And technically, they are right. Because at the end of the day the Business Owner has their goals and their ideas, and the domainer has theirs (to make a profit).

There are thousands of new companies started every day, just a matter of time before someone else wants it. And it would be better if the COM owner learned about XYZ on their own and reached out to buy when their are ready.
