I have had good dealings with BrandXDomains. The other ones I haven't dealt with.

Maybe they just copied BrandXDomains ads?

Same person. 3 accounts. I too have dealt with "BrandXDomains" but 80% of 25 threads = spam

True, but is it for sure? How to be absolutely sure?

Identical sales format. Posts are one right after the other. It's the same person.

I see now that there is "no limit on the number of business accounts" at NamePros. Guess it was just a matter of time before someone took advantage of that. Guess we're lucky this feller's only spamming from 3 accounts (that I know of) so far. Way to go NamePros, way to green-light spam as long as you get that precious $10 per account per month. O_o

I reported this before, mods are ok with it. Because they have a business account.

I was bidding in an auction, and this person was using their different bidder accounts in the same auction, the mods had no issue with it, said they aren't doing anything wrong.

Doesn't make sense to me, but a lot of things don't make sense.

Whatever keeps the lights on, I guess.... $10 at a time....

(Side note, congrats on your 3000th post.)

Can I pay $10 to not see forum-sponsored spam?

So for $50/month I can have 50 consecutive auctions (plus personal account auctions). What a f****** joke.

Correction: I think you may be misquoting what staff said. Multiple Paid business accounts are allowed as long as they do NOT post in the same marketplace threads. That is a direct violation of the rules.

If you see anyone bidding in the same auctions as one of their business accounts, please report it immediately so we can get more involved.

Thanks.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent each year on keeping NamePros running and improving it. We provide free accounts with the option to upgrade them.

You seem upset that we allow members to have multiple upgraded business accounts?
I'm sorry if that's the case.

We'll work harder to find a business model that is more acceptable.

Thanks for your feedback.

Not upset, but I'm happy to give feedback when the situation calls for it.

We have a solution in the works that will hopefully be more favorable.

Stay tuned. ;)

I've been here for 10 years, forgive me for being disappointed to see NP encouraging a spammy marketplace. If that's how it's gonna be, next thing we know, this place could be as unusable as DP. (Kidding...... it could never slip that far!)

For the record, I love the way NP has been evolving over the years. I'd just hate to see a great thing ruined by a select few members spamming the crap out of the marketplace with UNLIMITED sales threads.

Definitely looking forward to any changes!

I understand, but I wouldn't say we're encouraging it. It's been this way for a long time, but since we're growing, small issues are being magnified due to the larger scale. The old solutions are no longer the best solutions and we have to adapt.

The thing that is easy to overlook is that once you get to a certain scale, even simple solutions becomes much more complex. Even the simplest SQL query can take the site down if it's not optimized properly for the amount of traffic we receive.

It's a work in progress, but I assure you we are working on it every day and we will get there. :)
