Anyone have experience with selling a single name domain? Example: Jennifer.com

I've considered trying to find an end user on facebook but they all look like housewives on there that I'd assume have no need for it. It's somewhat uncommon, but common enough. I'm sure someone with this first name who owns domains would want it for a good price to them.

Is there a tool out there where you can search domain owners by first name in registrant or a way I can go about doing that?

Any info appreciated.

Thanks

Wouldn't you be better off using zfbot.com and searching for existing domains that start with 'Jennifer' and then contacting the owners of those domains?

Yes, did that already but ZFBot only displays domain names including the keyword you're searching for. None for this particular name.

I figure I would search domain owners who have the same first name of the domain I'm selling. I'd assume they'd be better leads since they already know what a domain name is. ;)

Here is one problem I am seeing with "name" domains strictly speaking from sales logic. How do you create the sense of need in a person for a certain product - you need to have a clear understanding of it, so you can best showcase the BENEFITS it brings for this person. Applying this for domain names is naturally the same, brandable or keyworded. As you can imagine, most of the times people/companies are expecting a financial benefit. Working with domain names you are basically excluding this huge opportunity as most of the times those domains are operated for personal websites, blogs etc. As most one-name domains are already snatched no one seems to be looking to buy out their name, they are just resorting to alternatives like including initials, the family name or something in a completely different directions.

All in all I don't think those names are worth the effort. There might be the occasional gem, but mostly you would just waste your times chasing the wind.
