I am considering selling my site;

Rock Forums

A screen-shot with traffic currently for this month is attached.

Currently, the forums stats are;

Threads: 4,650, Posts: 39,896, Members: 909

A lot of members could easily be pulled back to the site with a simple contest etc. but I really don't have enough time to be able to do this at current as other things in my life need to take a prominent position.

Rock-Forums.Com is top of the listing for "rock forums" at MSN, and currently 2nd at Yahoo.

The site also has over 5000 MSN and 5000 Yahoo backlinks.

I have put countless hours into the site to get it into the position it is in and it can be picked up and used as a financially benificial site with the minimum effort.

I have not bothered advertising on the site, simply because I have not had the software the manage advertising and thus not had the time to manage advertisers.

With a very small amount of investment (which I personally do not have), this site could flourish. There are many uniques ways of advertising a site such as this (eg. paying members to hand out flyers at concerts / advertising in small music magazines) which would bring in hundreds / thousands of more members.

I really feel this is an amazing oppurtunity missed out by selling this site but I simply need the money.

No idea. I've had wide ranging offers in the site but have never wanted to sell, but am considering selling now.

I've always owned the site and I've built it up from scratch. All mods etc. have been done by myself or Pete (my webmaster).

The site had a portal on it about a month ago, but all the bugs etc. were fixed, the forum was upgraded and new mods were added and thus the portal was temporarily removed. I just haven't got round to putting it back on.

The portal just simply highlighted polls, announcements and general info.

I just realised why the activity has gone severely down at the forums in the last week or two.

Since my latest update, no non-staff members have been able to log-in.

This should be fixed by tomorrow.
