Selling from a wordpress blog

I am doing a wordpress site where basically i want to sell a few different items such as cosmetics, plants etc. Payment will be by paypal only. What is the best way of doing this? Hhow do i get the description of the items on sale to stick to the top of the blog instead of it being pushed down with new posts? Many thanks.

I'd say you are coming at this from the wrong angle.
There may well be a cart/store add-on for Wordpress that allows this.

However, I would think you would be better off installing a store/eCommerce script as your main beast and then adding a blog and other content pages to it afterwards.

That way, you will have a core eCoomerce site selling your wares but still have the ability to generate some unique and updating content so loved bby teh search engines.

I am pretty sure i have seen a shopping cart add on for wordpress, but you would be better off using a platform like OScommerce.

Two options

Use a Wordpress theme that looks more like a magazine theme so the featured article stays above the fold.

Or make a certain page your first page. You can select any specific page that you want to be your main/front page in Wordpress. You can than keep adding blog entries to generate more content.

Make sure you have some Ads on ur Wordpress Account.
Always go for Adsense Accounts. Those are really worth ur site.!

Using a wordpress theme + script for shopping is the best way!
It is really easy to see look and choose what do you want to buy...
Also if you have a good template it looks more serious than a blogspot.

I found a shop plugin you could use it's called WP Shopping Cart I'm using it myself but the shop was not planned to be succesful to be honest
